LES of Asymmetric Planar Diffuser Flow

A numerical study on the separated flow in an asymmetric planar diffuser of Re=9,000 based on inlet half height, bulk velocity and Mach=0.1 was performed by using the newly developed semi-implicit high order research code. 320x64x65 structured grid system is used for this study. Mean flow and tubulent statistic are compared with Buice and Eaton's Experimental results (Journal of Fluid Engineering, v 122, pp 433-435, 2000). The principal objects of this study are the validation of research code for separated flow.
